Policy

Activity performance policy of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Division Faculty of Medicine Brawijaya University consists of:

a. Quality enhancement policy of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Residents

  • Arrange the regulation and admission procedure of new Cardiology and Vascular Division Residents based on academic quality of Cardiology and Vascular Division Residents candidate, transparency, and accountability.
  • Increase the expansion of information about offered various study programs.
  • Facilitate any collaboration activity with other institution for image and performance building.
  • Increase accessibility in encompassing candidates of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Residents at national level, regional and international.

b. Quality enhancement policy of academic staff  and supporting staff quality

  • Arrange the regulation and admission procedure of academic staff and supporting staff according competency principle, accountability, morale and academic ethics.
  • Increase the quality and quantity of academic staff and supporting staff according to the needs of knowledge, education, and related matters.
  • Encourage and facilitate academic staff and supporting staff to expand their knowledge and ability according to the evolution of science, medical technology and medicine
  • Encourage and facilitate academic staff to increase their ability in medical technology and modern medicine.
  • Implement a reward and punishment system that is related to academic achievement and performance of education, research, and community service.
  • Menyusun sistem reward untuk inovasi metode pembelajaran.
  • Menerapkan sistem reward and punishment yang terkait dengan kinerja staf Pendukung.
  • Develop a reward system for innovative teaching methods.
  • Implement a reward and punishment system related to the performance of supporting staff.
  • Develop a coaching program for young academic staff
  • Encourage the implementation of research and community service that can support improved academic quality.

c. Quality enhancement policy of educational process

1. Curriculum

  • Implement a competency-based curriculum (CBC) in the course of medical education and encourage the implementation of the CBC on the other courses
  • Evaluate and develop CBC periodically in accordance with the demand of relevance aspect..
  • Implement and develop Problem Based Learning (PBL) teaching method on the entire course.
  • Develop Evidence Based Learning (EBL) learning method on the entire course.

2. Learning resources

  • Improve the supporting facilities of learning and extracurricular facilities for Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Residents.
  • Improve and develop the use of information and communication technology in education and learning.
  • Implement policies and resource sharing between intra courses in order to improve the efficiency of resource utilization.
  • Support inter- and intra faculty resource sharing policy.

3. Learning process

  • Develop innovative learning and communication skill to encourage professional, independent, and ethical attitude in a healthy academic atmosphere.
  • Encourage the development of innovative programs in the learning process.
  • Encourage and facilitate the academic staff to attend competency building program as faculty member.
  • Optimizing the ratio of the number of academic staff compared to the number of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Residents based on the needs of medical education course and other courses.
  • Optimize the interaction between the academic staff and Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Residents to avoid the gaps between academic and non-academic staffs.
  • Encourage academic competition for academic staff and Cardiology and Vascular Medicine Residents.
  • Encourage the academic situation to improve the services quality of learning support unit by adequate funding.
  • Optimize the integration of education, research, and community service to improve the role of the Faculty of Medicine, Cardiology and Vascular Medicine in national development.

4. Evaluation of learning process

  • Menerapkan sistem evaluasi proses belajar-mengajar berdasarkan prinsip akuntabilitas, validitas, konsistensi, keadilan, dan kepuasan pengguna lulusan.
  • Mengembangkan sistem evaluasi proses belajar-mengajar sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi pendidikan.
  • Memastikan bahwa dokumen proses belajar-mengajar dapat diakses oleh pihak yang berkepentingan.

d. Kebijakan peningkatan mutu manajemen akademik

  • Mendukung sistem manajemen pengelolaan akademik sesuai dengan tata pamong perguruan tinggi (Good University Governance) sehingga menjadi penyelenggara akademik bertaraf internasional.
  • Mengoptimalkan hubungan kerja antara unsur pimpinan, staf akademik, dan staf pendukung.
  • Mendorong staf akademik dan staf pendukung untuk mengembangkan kompetensi di bidang manajemen pengelolaan akademik.
  • Meningkatkan manajemen pemanfaatan sumber daya secara efisien.
  • Mengimplementasikan sistem pelaporan hasil belajar secara periodik.
  • Mengembangkan sistem informasi manajemen yang memanfaatkan teknologi komunikasi dan informasi yang handal.
  • Mengusahakan pendanaan untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas akademik.
  • Mendorong program studi untuk meningkatkan kerjasama dengan institusi lain, baik pemerintah maupun swasta dengan prinsip saling menguntungkan

e. Peningkatan mutu lulusan

  • Mewajibkan program studi untuk merumuskan visi, misi, tujuan dan spesifikasi program studi serta kompetensi dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas lulusan dan proses pembelajaran sejalan dengan visi dan misi Bagian Fakultas Kedokteran.
  • Memberlakukan sistem monitoring-evaluasi perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi proses belajar-mengajar.
  • Mendorong program studi untuk melakukan kegiatan baku mutu banding (benchmarking) dengan program studi sejenis dan berkualitas di tingkat nasional, regional maupun internasional.
  • Memfasilitasi program studi untuk melakukan monitoring-evaluasi lulusan di dunia kerja (tracer study).

f. Penjaminan mutu akademik dan manajemen akademik.

  • Menerapkan strategi peningkatan mutu akademik dan manajemen akademik melalui pelaksanaan evaluasi diri yang terintegrasi dan berkelanjutan.
  • Mendukung sistem penjaminan mutu akademik dan manajemen akademik.
  • Mengembangkan sistem standarisasi akademik dan sertifikasi berkelanjutan. program studi serta kompetensi dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas lulusan dan proses
