MORNING REPORT
The Multidisciplinary Integrated Morning Report aims to enable all students from different disciplines to provide a point of view in assessing a case and the clinical microbiology examination they expect. From a clinical microbiology perspective, it can explain the completion of specimens from pre-analytic to post-analytic stages. This collaboration is expected to improve the quality of health services provided.
ALUMNI TESTIMONIAL
I’m dr. Sofiana Anis Sahara, SpMK. I am in the first batch of PS PDS Clinical Microbiology FKUB. Currently I work in the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at Ngudi Waluyo Wlingi Regional Hospital, Blitar Regency, East Java.
My impression while studying at PS PDS MK FKUB was very impressive and full of challenges. It was memorable because I met lecturers and supervisors who were very kind and attentive in guiding my hard skills and soft skills regarding Clinical Microbiology. It’s full of challenges because I’m the first student, so everything is in the pioneering process and I don’t have a template from the older generation before me. However, because the support from the FKUB MK Study Program was extraordinary in compiling the curriculum and providing learning facilities in the laboratory and in the field, so as the last 7 semesters of my school year passed, Alhamdulillah, I was able to get me ready to use my workplace again. The educational atmosphere is also comfortable because of the good relationships between colleagues and the analyst team who are very supportive and full of a family atmosphere in the learning process and practice in the field.
We hope that the PDS MK FKUB Study Program will be more successful in educating prospective Clinical Microbiology Specialist Doctors in the future.

“Topic : Controlling Antibiotic Use and Bacterial Resistance” dr. Jan Nouwen, Ph.D (Infectiologist, Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam) Wednesday, October 11th 2023 at Gedung Pendidikan Terpadu 5th floor, RSUD dr. Saiful Anwar Prov Jawa Timur
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a global threat that urgently needs to be addressed. According to WHO data in 2019, AMR was directly the cause of 1.27 million deaths globally and contributed to 4.95 million deaths.
Wrong and excessive use of antimicrobials in humans, animals and plants is a trigger for resistance.
Therefore, correct diagnosis and appropriate antimicrobial therapy according to dosage and designation are needed in all sectors. The One health program is a program to control cross-sectoral antimicrobial use.
