About Us
The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist Medical Education Study Program (PDS PS KFR) is an integral part of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FKUB). The program is committed to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education which includes education, research, and community service. Through the development of the science and practice of physical medicine and rehabilitation, we aim to produce competent and qualified specialists in the field of medical rehabilitation.
Brief History
The process of establishing PDS PS KFR FKUB has been started since 2009 with the signing of a cooperation between FKUB Medical Rehabilitation Installation and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Airlangga (FK UNAIR). The proposal for the establishment of PDS PS KFR was submitted in 2012, followed by several important stages, including visitation by various related parties from 2014 to 2017. Finally, based on the decision of the Minister of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 112/KPT/I/2018, PDS PS KFR FKUB was officially established in 2018 as the 19th study program at FKUB. The PDS PS KFR FKUB was accredited “Good” in 2021. Since its inception in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year, PDS PS KFR has enrolled 51 students and graduated 13 students.
PDS PS KFR FKUB continues to strive to develop innovations in the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation, contribute to improving public health through comprehensive rehabilitation services, and expand cooperation networks with national and international institutions.
