Follow-up of external and internal audit results in the quality assurance of PDS PS Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Brawijaya (FKUB) involves comprehensive improvement measures. Based on the results of audits conducted by the internal quality assurance unit (UJM) and accreditation agencies, several key findings need to be followed up to improve the quality of education processes, clinical services, research, and community service. The following are the follow-up steps that must be taken:
- Evaluation of Quality Audit Findings
Internal quality audits conducted by FKUB’s Quality Assurance Group (GJM) aim to ensure that all academic activities, clinical services, research, and community service are in accordance with established standards. The findings of these audits, both from internal and external audits, are carefully documented and then forwarded to relevant parties for analysis and follow-up. Any findings that indicate a gap in the implementation of quality standards will be the focus of improvement. - Follow-up Corrective Action Requests
Corrective Action Requests are submitted to all units involved to resolve issues identified in the audit. This mechanism will be controlled through management review, with the aim of ensuring that corrective actions are taken effectively and in a timely manner. For six months after the audit, monitoring is conducted to ensure that the PTKs have been implemented as suggested. - Learning Process Improvement
One area that requires attention is improving the quality of the learning process at PDS PS. This includes improving learning methods such as case-based learning and team-based projects, which previously had not reached the maximum target. Training programs for lecturers and teaching staff will be facilitated to improve their skills in teaching based on these methods.
- Human Resource Development (HRD)
One of the key findings in the audit was the need to increase the quality and number of teaching staff with doctoral qualifications or higher functional positions. This includes recruiting new lecturers with higher qualifications as well as providing ongoing training for existing teaching staff, so that they can make a greater contribution to the development of the quality of education and research.
- Improvement of Facilities and Infrastructure
The arrangement of facilities and infrastructure is also an important part of the quality audit follow-up. Some facilities that have not met the standards will be upgraded immediately, with a focus on laboratory facilities, lecture halls, and practice rooms. Facility procurement and maintenance programs will continue to be monitored to ensure that all educational needs can be met optimally.
- Improving Research and Community Service Performance
Performance achievements in the field of research and community service have shown good results, but there needs to be more effort to increase the number of publications in indexed international journals. Collaboration with international institutions and strengthening research networks will be one of the focuses in this improvement.
- Periodic Monitoring and Evaluation
This follow-up process will be monitored periodically through annual work meetings and monitoring of subsequent audit results. Evaluation of the results of PTK implementation will be carried out by the evaluation team and included in the performance report prepared every semester.
With these steps, PDS PS Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation FKUB is committed to continuously improving the quality of education and services provided, in accordance with applicable national and international standards, in order to achieve higher accreditation and make a real contribution to society.
